Perfect Love Casteth Out All Fear

Alright, so I haven't blogged in a couple of weeks. That's a long time for me. But I have been getting Jeffrey's Christmas package together and I finally got it sent! Now, since he is in Chile, I can't send him a lot just because the price of postage is so much, but whenever I send something, I try to make it meaningful and things that he wants. He didn't get a lot this year, but I sent him a Westminster College T-shirt that he has been asking for, a post card pillow case, a missionary stocking, a tie, and a letter. I didn't take pictures of everything but here is the stocking and pillow case.

I have been doing really well. I'm just keeping really busy and the time is flying by. His official release date is June 11, 2013, so I have just barely over 200 days. I'm really excited to get out of the 200's! Also, Jeffrey usually just sends me one email every week and I am always so grateful for those emails, but yesterday he was at a leadership conference, so he emailed me then, and then he emailed me again when he got back to his sector and to send me a video. Even if the second email was just to tell me he hadn't gotten my birthday mail, and the third email was just a link to a video, it still made me happy.

I'm really excited for Thanksgiving. I love my family and food, so having both in one day is the best ever. I love Thanksgiving football games and taking a nap after eating so much food you feel as if you are going to burst. I just can't wait until it is the New Year and then I can say Jeffrey is coming home THIS year. That is so exciting. I just love the holiday season and am looking forward to making lots of great memories!

17 months and Birthday!

Jeffrey is so perfect. I miss him a lot, but I have made it to 17 months! This is a huge accomplishment. I am almost 75% of the way done! I'm really excited for this mile stone in my waiting journey. I also have his birthday tomorrow! He is turning 21! Man, I feel like we are getting old. Good thing I still have a while before I turn 21!

For his birthday, I just didn't do much this year. I know I should have done more, but it's so expensive to send stuff there and his birthday is so close to Christmas, so I'm focusing on a really awesome Christmas package, so I just sent him a card, an inspiration page I made, full of lots of inspirational quotes for if he ever gets discouraged, and also a memory card with a video and some pictures on it.

But he sounds so good. I love getting his emails every week. I am so blessed to be able to receive those emails. I know some girls can't and so they don't talk to their missionary very often, but dang I'm glad that I actually do get to email him. He went on a P-day adventure this week. He went to this fancy resort with his zone. People say that if you rub this magic mud on your face and then wash it off in the special mountain water then you will look younger, so they got to participate in that.

Lately I have really been trying to make better friends with other girls that are waiting. It has been a lot of fun. I have done a video chat with three other girls and also had a girls day shopping and just being girls. It was so fun! I have missed having such good friends that are girls. I don't usually like being friends with girls because they are so catty and things always end up so dramatic. But these girls are so sweet and some of the  most genuine girls I know!

I have been doing pretty well lately. I have missed him a lot, but its always hard around his birthday and all of the holidays, but I just have to remember how far I have come and how amazing that moment is going to be when I get to see him again. I just can't imagine how happy I'm going to be. To keep myself busy, I have been paying close attention to the election today! It's all very exciting. 

I hope that you are all keeping strong. This is going to be an amazing experience we can all look back on and see how strong it has made us. The Lord is there for us all the time. I love Him so much and am so grateful for the opportunities I have to become more Christ like and to improve each day.
